Snake tattoos are one of the most popular choices for a tattoo out there. I have two on myself! Snakes generally hold more masculine energy than feminine, but as you shall soon see from this extensive list that feminine snake tattoos are popular and hold the feminine essence with grace with respect.
I went on a deep dive again and found some of the most beautiful, ominous and interesting snake tattoos out there. Let’s take a look…
1. Pink Snake Tattoo
When I saw this cute little girly snake tattoo, I immediately made a parallel in my brain between her and the pink panther! Nothing screams “girl” quite like the color pink!
My favorite part about this piece is how the artist only used different shades of pink to give her depth; simply irresistible.
2. Rainbow Snake Tattoo
This looks like every little girl’s dream tattoo, a rainbow snake! I love the girly look of this piece; it is such an interesting take on a usually hardcore snake tattoo.
The artist’s ability to shade the colors into one another is outstanding; smooth and clean, just how we like it. My favorite part about this piece is the childish, playlike imagery that the artist captured with this snake. Overall this piece is a knockout!
3. Black Work Realism Snake Tattoo
These shoulder snake tattoos are creeping their way into my heart; time for a new tattoo appointment!
I love the placement and size of this piece; this entire tattoo is a statement piece. I love the darker hues used by the artist, it has an ominous feeling which I love. the lines are clean and bold, this tattoo gets a ten out of ten from me!
4. Realistic Blue Snake
This tattoo might be the most striking one on this list yet. I can’t keep my eyes off of it! The geometric element the artist added here by the placement of the circles makes the tattoo stand out.
My favorite part about this tattoo is the bold oceanic blue the artist packed so well here; the use of white ink to make the scales of the snake stand out was a smart move. I love the play on imagery here, the artist made this piece enigmatic and powerful. Bravo!
5. Small Hip Snake Tattoo
If you’re looking for something a little bit more delicate, a small, simple snake tattoo on the hip is always a good option.
6. Forearm Snake Tattoo
Check out how realistic this little guy is at such a small scale! I love how it twists and turns giving the artist more room to show off detail.
7. Snake Bicep Tattoo
One of my favorite traits of tattoos is one like this, where the design has room to wrap and weave around the body part. A perfect design for our little snake friend.
8. Traditional Snake and Dagger Tattoo
Opening this list with a killer snake and dagger combo! I love the traditional tattoo style, especially two traditional pieces mashed together.
The bold and dark lines make this tattoo stand out from the rest. I love the artist’s minimalistic approach with the shading combined with the bold lines; chefs kiss!

9. Black Work Snake Hand Tattoo
The placement and imagery used on this hand tattoo are insane. I love how the snake’s tongue forks out into the two fingers; that is a unique twist, and I like it.
The line work is impeccable, and the shading has just the right amount of darkness. My favorite feature on this piece is the use of white ink in the scales and teeth.

Nothing beats a good old-fashioned spine tattoo and this one is no exception. I like how the width of the snake tattoo gets wider and wider as it gets higher on the back.

13. Double Traditional Snake Tattoo
Just like I mentioned earlier, two snakes are better than one, but do you know what is better than two snakes? Two traditional snakes of course!
I love that the artist only used the primary colors; less is more in this case. The bold lines hold the color in place and make it even bolder than it already is. Outstanding work here!
14. Snake With Many Eyes Tattoo
It is quite clear that the eyes on this gorgeous specimen of a tattoo are what make heads turn in a crowded room! The artist really went wild using their creative ability; I admire that from one artist to another.
The dark black out shading behind the eyes makes the eyes even more daunting and intriguing to look at. The lines are clean and keep the darkness intact. This might be my favorite one on this list!
15. Feminine Floral Snake Tattoo
Snakes generally tend to hold more masculine energy than feminine, so when I see a feminine snake tattoo, I almost jump out of my seat, eager to look at it!
I love that the artist used a realistic technique to make the tattoo pop. The lines are soft and thin, giving the tattoo the feminine essence it holds. Using sunflowers was a bold, wise move as sunflowers symbolize joy and happiness, juxtaposing the snake.

18. Wrap Around Snake Leg Tattoo
Here we have another unique twist on a snake tattoo; it’s wrapped around someone’s leg! The imagery of this piece is definitely what makes this tattoo a stand-out piece.
My favorite part about this tattoo is how the artist incorporated specks of red along the snake’s body. Color can make a huge difference to how bold a tattoo appears.

The soft fine lines and gentle shading embody that feminine essence. I love the almost human-like look the snake has in its eyes, too.
22. Hyper Realistic Snake Tattoo
This is just plain and simply an absolute masterpiece. This works well as a tattoo (as we can see!), and it could work well as a painting in a museum or a poster on my wall; what a versatile work of art!
